Paneer Pav Bhaji/Pav Bhaji with Crumbled Paneer

The word 'Paneer' itself makes me drool, when paneer added to one more most favourite dish of mine aka 'Pav Bhaji' trust me am ready to die after finishing a huge bowl of this Paneer pav bhaji. If you are reader or a follower of my space, you might have noticed my love for streets foods/chaats. Obviously we dont have any chance to relish this dishes in roadside stalls as like in India, if we are craving for this highly irresistible Indian street foods, we dont have any other option than making them at home. Am a great chaat food lover and i can survive for many days with chaat foods, needless to say my family members are also turning as much as like me when its comes to street foods or chaat foods. If you are an Indian, you might know how popular this Pav bhaji especially in Northern part of India.

Paneer Pav Bhaji, Pav Bhaji with crumbled Paneer


Being a South Indian, i have tasted this fingerlicking goodness street foods during a Mumbai trip with a friend. I have completely fallen in love with this ultimate dish. Once i came to know how to dish out this dish, i started preparing at home whenever i crave for this street food with homemade pav buns. My today's recipe goes for Paneer pav bhaji, crumbled paneer added to the usual pav bhaji makes this protein rich bhaji. Seriously everyone at home enjoyed thoroughly as i have Paneer lovers at home. Give a try and enjoy the goodness of paneer. Am running this week's blogging marathon with Street foods around the Globe as theme, hence am posting this popular Indian street food.

Paneer Pav Bhaji,

1cup Crumbled Paneer
1cup Cooked,mashed potatoes
2nos Tomatoes (chopped)
1/2cup Carrot (grated)
1/2cup Green peas
1/2cup Cauliflower (shreded)
1/2cup Bellpepper pieces
1tsp Ginger garlic paste
1/4tsp Green chilly paste
1tsp Red chilli powder
1/2tsp Coriander powder
1/2tsp Cumin powder
2tbsp Coriander leaves
Salt
Oil
Butter
Laadi Pav

Heat enough oil and fry the ginger garlic paste and green chilly paste until they turns slightly brown.

Add immediately the tomatoes, salt and cooking until the tomatoes turns mushy..

Now add the grated carrots, shredded cauliflower, green peas, bellpeppers pieces and saute for a while.

Once they are half cooked, add the mashed potatoes, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, pav bhaji masala to the cooking veggies, stir everything well.

Now add the crumbled paneer and cook until the oil comes out, cook everything in simmer.

Mash everything well.

Pav Bhaji with Paneer, Paneer Pav BHaji

Add a cup of water to the veggies and cook everything until the bhaji turns thick.

Put off the stove, garnish with raw onions & coriander leaves.

To Serve:
Heat a tsp of butter in a hot pan, cut the pav as two pieces and toast the pav with the hot butter, serve along with pav bhaji.

Enjoy warm.

Paneer pav baji is very delicious.. Pretty famous in some areas in Hyderabad too.. Mouth watering.
